New BUIC tenant Listed has recently celebrated its launch. The new Mayor of Bournemouth raised a toast to Listed magazine on Monday 28 May at the launch party held at Funki Sushi.

In her first engagement as the town's new mayor, Councillor Anne Filer congratulated Listed on its great range of features, upbeat and vibrant content and its benefit to the community and local businesses. 'Not just another magazine filled with photos of people in bars,' she said with approval.

Listed was honoured not only to welcome the Mayor of Bournemouth, but also the Mayor of Poole, Cllr Jeff Allen, as well as many other friends, businesses, and respected members of the community.

The celebration of the launch of Listed - now into its third issue - attracted over 300 guests to the stylish rooftop restaurant on Exeter Road. Guests were enchanted on arrival by the stunning vocals of Monique Houraghan of folk/rock band Tinderbox: http://www.myspace.com/tinderboxacoustic and enjoyed a champagne reception and a free bar sponsored by Inntents Event Bars: info@inntents.co.uk .

After enjoying a mouthwatering selection of Thai canapes and sushi, guests were entertained with a stunning dance set from Natalie Pearl's dance group FP Productions: http://fpproductions.co.uk . Resplendent in feather boas, low-cut corsets and richly-coloured skirts, the girls and their dashing male partners stole the show with an awe-inspiring set from the Moulin Rouge, which included audience participation!

Following the dancing, the Mayor of Bournemouth made a toast to Listed magazine, and editor Ali Wood thanked all those involved in the production of the magazine, including several Bournemouth University students, who edit sections of the magazine, and event photographer Andy Maxwell, a final year media student.

The party continued late into the evening with the unique and truly brilliant sound of Wee Blue Folk http://www.myspace.com/weebluefolk .

Listed was proud to have had the opportunity to showcase so much local talent - one of the core brand values of the magazine - and would like to thank all of those who attended and made it such an unforgettable evening.
