Bournemouth-based marketing and PR agency Mushroom Marketing has welcomed a new member to the team on work placement. Lucy Mitchell, 25, originally from Bath, is currently at Bournemouth University where she is studying for a BA (Hon’s) degree in marketing to compliment her FdA degree in journalism, for which she studied in London.

While on work placement at Mushroom Marketing Lucy will provide essential support to the team. She says, “I’m looking forward to being able to gain an insight into the marketing industry and to apply the skills I have learnt on both my marketing and journalism courses. The experience I am hoping to gain should prove to be extremely valuable. I have a passion for marketing and PR and am looking forward to continuing my placement here and to the new and exciting challenges that await me”.

Lucy replaces Rosie Stride who, after spending eighteen months at Mushroom Marketing is now heading to the capital for a year’s work placement within the marketing team at McDonald’s head office as part of her degree.

Director Emma Ansell says, “We’re delighted to be able to welcome Lucy. She has some fantastic skills and it’s a pleasure to support such a dedicated student of the industry. It’s important that those studying are also given the opportunity to gain hands-on experience.”
