Bournemouth University Innovation Centre has been in operation since 2001 and the Centre's management team has approximately 5 years' experience of supporting 12 businesses that have employed a total of 50 people.
During this time the 3 year business survival rate of BUIC's clients has been 91.7%, compared to a UK average of 66.5%
Our clients have enjoyed significant growth and gained access to expertise and business support from the University with examples including The Holiday Group and Phones 4 Business.
The Innovation Centre is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bournemouth University and is based in Melbury House, home of the University's business gateway. The business gateway provides quick access to the University's world class expertise, facilities and skills to help grow your business.
Bournemouth University Innovation Centre is a member of both the Business Incubation South West (BISW) and UK Business Incubation (UKBI) organisations. Both groups work regionally and nationally to develop, support and bring together incubation centres and the businesses they support. Membership of these networks is automatic to clients of BUIC. Benefits include enhanced regional and national profile for the Centre and its clients, membership of an active knowledge-sharing community and access to regional and national networking events.
